1. What safety features does VinFast Lux A2.0 model have?

Safety features available in this model include: brake, electronic stability control (ESC) system, Anti-Slip Regulation, Hill Start Assist (HSA), front sensor, blind spot warning, rear sensor, back-up camera, 360-degree camera, emergency tensioning system, Front seat belt Force Limiter, Child Car Seat Latch, auto lock doors while driving, opening and closing the power trunk lid, airbag system, anti-theft warning system and encryption key.
  2. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)

ABS operates by preventing the wheels from locking up during braking, thereby maintaining tractive contact with the road surface and allowing the driver to maintain more control over the vehicle effectively in dangerous situations with limited risk.

All 3 Lux SA2.0 editions are equipped with ABS anti-lock braking system. The system works immediately after the engine is started.

  3. Brake Assist system

This system increases braking pressure in an emergency, thereby shortening the stopping distance. The system only works when the driver does not relieve pressure on the brake pedal during braking.

All 3 Lux SA2.0 editions are equipped with Brake Assist system.

  4. Electronic Brake Force distribution (EBD) function

Using electronic sensors, EBD distributes equal brake force to each wheel to maximize stopping power while maintaining the driver's vehicle control. Always coupled with anti-lock braking systems (ABS), EBD can apply more or less braking pressure to each wheel in order to maximize stopping power whilst maintaining vehicle control.
  5. Hill Start Assist (HAC)

This system assists the driver when departing on a steep road without using the handbrake. The driver only needs to use the foot brake to keep the vehicle to a stop, then release the brake and drive away. After the foot brake is released, the system will maintain the brake pressure for a set period of time (usually one second) as you switch from the brake to the accelerator. Depending on the load or if the vehicle is towing another vehicle, the car may be pulled slightly behind.

Notes: You needs to drive away immediately because after releasing the foot brake, the HAC system will not maintain the brake pressure for more than 1 second, and then the car can drift backwards.

  6. Electronic stability control (ESC) system

ESC system balances the traction on the wheels thereby improves the vehicle's stability while traveling. Depending on the operating conditions, ESC maintains your vehicle's stability by reducing the engine speed and braking each wheel.
  7. Roll Over Mitigation (ROM) system

Roll Over Mitigation (ROM) system constantly monitors your vehicle's handling behaviour using sensors. If it detects anything that may result in the vehicle potentially rolling over, it will then control the braking and driving forces on individual wheels to control the situation and stabilize the vehicle.
  8. Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) system

ESS is used to convey the message of emergency brake stop to the vehicle running just behind. The system will activate the rear brake lights while braking, and automatically activate hazard warning lights when the vehicle has stopped.
  9. Blind Spot Warning System

The system works when the vehicle is traveling at a speed greater than 15 km/h. Ultrasonic sensors will give warnings about a moving vehicle in a position that is out of sight of the driver. The blind spot warning light is integrated in A column of Lux SA2.0 model.
  10. Cameras and sensors

Lux A2.0 model is equipped with backup camera on all 3 editions. 360-degree camera is only available in the advanced and premium editions.

Front parking sensors and blind spot warning function are available in Lux A2.0 advanced and premium editions but not available in base edition. All three editions have rear parking sensors.

  11. Child Car Seat Latch

All 3 Lux A2.0 have Child Car Seat ISOFIX Latch on outer seat in the second row.
