Warranty Policy

Damage caused by repair, adjustment, connection of non-genuine accessories, or unauthorized modifications from the original design, such as changes to power output, structure, etc.

Damage caused by improper use or vehicle misuse, such as riding under extreme conditions including racing, rough-road riding, overloading, or use and storage that do not follow the Owner’s Manual.

Damage caused by failure to follow the periodic maintenance schedule, or by maintenance or repair not performed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Damage caused by the use of non-genuine parts, lubricants, fluids, or additives.

Damage caused by accidents or use in flooded conditions, or by foreign objects such as soil, sand, gravel, stones, sharp or hard objects, etc. striking the vehicle during operation.

Damage caused by factors beyond the manufacturer’s control, including fire, earthquakes, storms, floods, other natural disasters, and damage caused by animals.

Surface damage caused by factors beyond the manufacturer’s control, such as cigarette ash, chemicals, animal droppings, tree sap, salt, acid rain, and similar factors.

Natural battery degradation and the gradual reduction in maximum capacity over time due to normal aging, which depends greatly on charging method, charging current, number of discharge cycles, and ambient temperature during use.

Battery swelling, cracking, breakage, fire, explosion, or smoke caused by parking the vehicle in high-temperature environments or connecting other power-consuming devices.

Battery damage caused by failure to follow storage requirements when the vehicle is not in use.

Warranty does not apply to cleaning, inspection, adjustment services, or periodic maintenance items.

Conditions that VinFast assesses as not affecting vehicle quality or operation, such as noise, minor vibration, oil seepage, normal rust, or paint fading.

Damage to items subject to natural wear, such as brake pads, brake discs, tires, remote-control batteries, fuses, rubber parts, chain assemblies, sprockets, steering-head bearings, bearings, bolts, screws, belts, etc.; and consumables subject to periodic replacement, such as oils, grease, fluids, and additives.

Erasure, tampering, or loss of the original condition of parts that prevents verification that the parts were originally fitted to the vehicle. Consequential damage caused by delayed inspection or repair at a VinFast Authorized Service Center/Dealer after damage is detected.

Damage occurring during the warranty period but reported after warranty expiry due to delay by the user.

To the extent permitted by law, VinFast is not responsible for indirect losses or incidental expenses related to warranty service, including telephone charges, accommodation, replacement transportation, travel, business losses, or time.
